Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Transport Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and delivery, with the ability to operate various types of vehicles, . This role requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting vehicles to designated locations.
Duties
- Ensure timely delivery of products/vehicles while adhering to all traffic regulations and safety protocols.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, proof of collection and proof of delivery while ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Utilise mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise delivery routes and improve efficiency.
Experience
- Experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver is ideal
- Familiarity with carrying out appraisals on vehicles and/or collecting and delivering vehicles in any capacity would be great.
- Previous trade plate driving experience would be great .
- have to be over 25 years old for insurance reasons
- Mechanical/vehicle knowledge would be great too.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type being operated is required with no more than 6 points for insurance reasons.
