Location: Pune

PATTERNS7 is looking for a Computer Vision & Autonomy Engineer to work on next-generation robotic systems operating in complex, unstructured, and GPS-denied environments.

You will work across perception, sensor fusion, mapping, localization, and planning, contributing to real-time autonomy systems that combine multiple sensors and operate reliably in challenging field conditions.

This is a hands-on engineering role involving both algorithm development and system-level integration.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build and integrate perception, mapping, localization, and planning modules for autonomous systems.

- Develop multi-sensor fusion using camera, LiDAR, radar, IMU, and GPS.

- Build real-time scene understanding, tracking, and world modelling pipelines.

- Optimize autonomy algorithms for embedded platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson.

- Work on sensor calibration, synchronization, field testing, and system integration.

- Debug and improve autonomy systems under real-world and degraded conditions.

Skillset:

- 3–4 years of experience in Robotics, Computer Vision, or Autonomous Systems.

- Strong C++ and Python programming skills.

- Hands-on experience with ROS 2 and Linux.

- Understanding of sensor fusion, localization, mapping, and motion planning.

- Experience with camera, LiDAR, IMU, radar, or GPS.

- Experience with NVIDIA Jetson, CUDA, or embedded AI platforms.

- Knowledge of multithreading and real-time systems.

- Exposure to GIS/geospatial data, Gazebo, CARLA, or Isaac Sim is a plus.

- Strong debugging and system-integration skills.

Qualifications

- Master’s, or PhD in Robotics, Autonomous Systems, Computer Vision, AI/ML, Computer Science, or a related field.

- Experience working on end-to-end autonomy systems in real-world environments.

- Exposure to large-scale mapping, multi-agent systems, or distributed robotics.

- Strong debugging skills across perception, fusion, and planning pipelines.
