About Technology Architects

Technology Architects is an independently owned IT and cybersecurity firm built by entrepreneurs to support the business community. With offices in Green Bay, Minneapolis, and Denver, we partner with growing organizations across the U.S. to reduce complexity, manage risk, and use technology as a strategic advantage.

Role Summary

The Solutions Consultant is the primary onsite consulting presence and client-facing technical liaison for assigned Technology Architects customers. This role serves as the connective tissue between the client and Technology Architects' internal teams, ensuring client environments are deeply understood, properly aligned, and fully supportable within our Managed Intelligence model.

Solutions Consultants act as the technology director for their assigned client stack. They run recurring onsite technology oversight engagements, identify pain points from end users through executive leadership, and translate those insights into actionable initiatives across strategic planning, Managed Intelligence, Cyber Security, sales, and project delivery.

This is a high-trust, high-visibility role for a technical professional who excels at communication, discovery, and strategic alignment. Technical depth is required, but so is the ability to drive a client forward without being asked.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Pain Point Identification (End User to Executive)

Identify, document, and prioritize pain points across:

- End users

- Department managers

- IT contacts

- Executive leadership and ownership

Translate business and operational challenges into:

- Technical findings

- Risk statements

- Improvement opportunities

Serve as the voice of the client inside Technology Architects, ensuring insights are not siloed or lost.

2. Primary Client Point of Contact

- Act as a consistent, trusted onsite point of contact into Technology Architects

- Represent TA with authority, clarity, and accountability

- Guide clients on ownership and responsibilities, how requests flow through Technology Architects, and what to expect next

- Maintain proactive communication on open items; no client should have to ask for a status update

- Reduce fragmentation, confusion, and unnecessary escalations

3. Onsite Environment Discovery and Assessment

Conduct ongoing onsite assessments of:

- Infrastructure and networking

- Endpoint and device landscape

- Identity and access architecture

- Security posture

- Backup and disaster recovery

Validate alignment between actual client environments, documentation standards, and monitoring and management tools (Auvik, ConnectWise RMM).

4. vCIO Enablement & Strategic Input

- Provide ground-truth technical and operational insight to the vCIO function

- Supply:

- Client pain point summaries

- Risk and business impact analysis

- Required vs. recommended improvements

- Partner with vCIOs to:

- Build accurate, realistic roadmaps

- Design executive-ready initiatives

- Align technology strategy with business goals

5. Project Opportunity Identification and Sales Enablement

Identify project opportunities based on onsite findings, client pain points, and risk, compliance, and security gaps.

Translate opportunities into:

- Clear problem statements

- High-level technical direction and level of effort

- Required involvement from Managed Intelligence and Cyber Security

Support sales by validating feasibility and scope. This is a non-quota-carrying role.

6. Solution Design and Deployment Support

- Assist sales and delivery teams with solution design prior to approval

- Serve as engineering lead on assigned projects alongside Managed Intelligence and Cyber Security

- Ensure delivery aligns with design intent, operational standards, and long-term supportability

- Support clean transitions back into Managed Intelligence operations

7. Documentation and Internal Coordination

- Document findings, decisions, and recommendations in IT Glue

- Maintain accurate, current time entry and status on all assigned service requests and projects

- Ensure clean, structured handoffs to sales, Managed Intelligence, and Cyber Security

- Prevent siloed knowledge and lost client intelligence
