Position Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced Database Architect with strong expertise in AWS database services, Snowflake, SQL, database architecture, automation, and scripting.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect scalable, high-performance, and secure database solutions on AWS.
- Design and manage AWS database services including RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, Redshift, EMR, and ElastiCache.
- Configure and manage AWS EMR clusters and optimize performance and cost.
- Integrate databases with AWS Lambda, S3, EC2, and Glue.
- Implement AWS security best practices including IAM, VPC, encryption, and security groups.
- Design and implement backup, disaster recovery, high availability, and failover solutions.
- Design, implement, and manage Snowflake virtual data warehouses.
- Develop complex SQL queries for data analysis, transformation, and reporting.
- Perform query optimization, clustering, caching, and auto-scaling.
- Troubleshoot AWS database and infrastructure-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and data-management requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior and mid-level team members.

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
Important Requirements
- 14+ years of experience is mandatory.
- 5 days onsite in Woodlawn, MD.
- Face-to-face interview required.
- No remote option.
