Job Description: Warehouse Operative – Picking & Packing
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our established team at our Northwich Warehouse.
The main focus of the role will be in our order fulfilment team, picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently. However, this is a varied warehouse position, and you will also assist with goods-in, stock replenishment, quality checks and preparing parcels for our daily courier collections.
We are an established online retailer supplying customers throughout the UK, Europe and worldwide through a number of major online marketplaces.
What you’ll be doing
- Picking customer orders accurately from warehouse locations
- Packing order securely and to the required standard
- Receiving and checking incoming deliveries
- Checking goods against delivery paperwork
- Quality checking incoming and outgoing products
- Putting stock away in the correct warehouse locations
- Replenishing picking locations
- Monitoring stock levels and reporting discrepancies
- Preparing and processing parcels for daily courier collections
- Keeping the warehouse and working areas clean, organised and safe
- Communicating stock or order issues to the department manager
- Assisting with other general warehouse duties when required
What we’re looking for
You don’t necessarily need extensive warehouse experience. We’re more interested in finding someone who is:
- Reliable and punctual
- Hardworking and willing to stay productive throughout the working day
- Able to work accurately at a reasonable pace
- Organised and able to follow processes
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
- Willing to learn different areas of the warehouse
- Physically capable of carrying out normal warehouse duties
- Able to communicate problems rather than allowing them to go unnoticed
Previous warehouse, picking/packing, goods-in or stock-control experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
Full training will be provided.
