Role Overview
As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality and compassionate care to patients under the direct supervision of providers and nursing leadership. Your administrative and clinical tasks will support the healthcare team in delivering exceptional patient experiences, ensuring smooth and efficient operations in the ambulatory care setting.

What You Will Do

Greet and escort patients to the exam room, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience.

Obtain and document accurate medical histories to support patient care.

Measure and record vital signs, contributing to comprehensive patient assessments.

Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, assisting providers during these processes.

Perform a variety of clinical tasks to support ambulatory patient care.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
-
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160-hour minimum), or graduate without externship but with one year of clinical medical assisting experience within the past five years, or current professionally recognized Medical Assistant Certification with one year of experience, or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Licensed Paramedic/EMT with one year of clinical experience, or military-trained medical personnel with one year of clinical experience.

Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.
Preferred Qualifications

Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.

EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.
