The Factory Foreman leads the production team on the shop floor, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality joinery products. They act as a link between the workers and the factory supervisor, ensuring that all tasks are carried out correctly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise carpenters, machine operators, and factory workers.
- Assign tasks to workers and ensure work is carried out according to specifications.
- Ensure proper handling of woodworking machines and tools.
- Train and assist workers in improving their skills.
- Identify production issues and suggest improvements.
- Monitor stock levels of materials and tools, ensuring availability.
- Ensure factory cleanliness and adherence to safety standards.
- Keep daily records of production output and report to the supervisor.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in joinery/carpentry.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and cutting lists.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Good communication and organizational abilities
