Accounting Manager – Hybrid
Location: Saint-Laurent (VSL), Montréal
Status: Permanent, full-time
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week
Hybrid: 3 days working from home
Salary: Up to $110,000
Job description
Our client, a large and growing organization with over 75 years in business, is looking for an Accounting Manager to join its team in Saint-Laurent.

You may currently be an Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller or Controller - what matters most is that you enjoy being hands-on, understand accounting processes from end to end and like working closely with operations.
The role combines operational accounting, process management, analysis and team leadership. You will work closely with different departments across the organization and play an important role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of key accounting processes.
What is offered
- Salary up to $110,000, depending on experience
- 3 days working from home and a 37.5-hour work week

Your responsibilities
- Oversee key operational accounting processes, including vendor rebates, customer adjustments and sales-related transactions
- Lead month-end and year-end activities for your areas, including accruals, reconciliations and variance analysis
- Review financial and operational reporting, investigate discrepancies and ensure the accuracy of financial information
- Support and guide the accounting team while contributing to process improvements and special projects
Profile we're looking for
- Experience as an Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Controller or in a similar hands-on accounting role
- Strong understanding of full-cycle and end-to-end accounting processes; experience with inventory accounting, inventory costing and/or vendor rebate programs is a strong asset
- Strong analytical skills, advanced Excel and previous team management experience
- Functional French and English; English is required to communicate with teams and stakeholders across Canadian operations
