Skills and Competencies

8+ years of software or integration engineering experience, including at least 4 years of hands-on Workday integration development

Proven experience architecting and delivering enterprise-scale Workday integrations, including technical design, data-flow mapping, and batch, real-time, and event-driven integration patterns

Advanced hands-on experience with Workday Studio, Workday Extend, Workday Orchestrate, Enterprise Interface Builder, Core Connectors, Document Transformation, Reporting as a Service, and Workday Web Services

Strong knowledge of Workday Human Capital Management, Benefits, Compensation, Absence Management, Talent, Recruiting, and Payroll, with the ability to translate business processes into integration requirements

Strong proficiency in Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations, Extensible Markup Language, JavaScript Object Notation, Groovy or Java scripting, Workday Report Writer, and calculated fields

Solid understanding of enterprise integration patterns, application programming interface-led connectivity, microservices, event-driven architecture, Workday security frameworks, and secure connectivity practices

Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is preferred; experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform or a comparable integration platform is also preferred

Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use.
Education

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or a related technical discipline

Workday Integration certification, such as Workday Pro Integrations or Workday Studio, is required

MuleSoft Developer Certification is preferred
Responsibilities
Architect and deliver secure, scalable Workday integrations and AI-enabled automation across core enterprise platforms.

Architect, design, and develop enterprise Workday integrations using Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder, Core Connectors, Reporting as a Service, and Workday Web Services

Own technical design documents, data-mapping specifications, integration architecture diagrams, and reusable design standards for new and existing integrations

Partner with Human Resources technology stakeholders, solution architects, and business teams to translate complex business processes into scalable integration solutions

Design and build tools powered by large language models and AI agents to improve integration development, testing, monitoring, and incident triage

Deliver integrations across the broader enterprise application landscape using MuleSoft or comparable middleware and cloud platforms where applicable

Oversee the end-to-end integration lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, production support, root-cause analysis, and long-term remediation

Define and promote integration standards, naming conventions, security controls, architectural best practices, and data-governance requirements across the organization

Support Workday releases, lead code and architecture reviews, mentor junior developers, and apply emerging integration and AI capabilities responsibly

The Corporate Systems team, part of the Technology Services Group, supports Moody’s core business and technology operations through reliable corporate platforms and shared services. By joining the Integration team, you will help design, build, and operate secure, scalable, and resilient solutions that connect Workday with internal platforms and external partners. The team enables critical business processes, strengthens application programming interface standardization and interoperability across cloud and hybrid environments, and responsibly applies AI and intelligent automation to improve integration development, observability, and reliability in collaboration with global teams.
