Role Description
The Kearney Area Community Foundation is seeking an organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our team and mission. This versatile role includes administrative and office support, including database and donor assistance, reception, board and committee coordination, meeting and event logistics, records management, financial and purchasing support, and assistance with Foundation programs and special projects. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who enjoys working with people, can manage multiple priorities, maintains confidentiality, and takes pride in keeping things organized and running smoothly.
Qualifications
- Strong Administrative Assistance and Executive Administrative Assistance skills to support leadership and day-to-day office operations.
- Proficient Clerical Skills, including filing, data entry, document preparation, and basic recordkeeping.
- Professional Phone Etiquette and Communication skills for interacting with callers, visitors, donors, and partners.
- Ability to use office software and tools (e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheets, calendars) with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to confidentiality, reliability, and respectful, inclusive interactions with diverse stakeholders.
- Prior experience in an administrative or office support role, preferably in a nonprofit or community-focused setting.
- Bachelor's Degree or related experience, and a Nebraska driver's license is required; additional training or education in office administration or related fields is beneficial.
