Workshop Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our fleet maintenance workshop in Smithfield. Reporting to the Head of Fleet and maintenance, you will lead a team of Heavy Diesel Mechanics, coordinate maintenance activities and help ensure our fleet remains safe, compliant.
What you will enjoy doing
- Supervise and coordinate daily workshop operations, repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance activities

Lead, coach, and support workshop personnel to achieve safety, quality, and performance objectives

Monitor fleet availability, maintenance schedules, and breakdown response to minimise operational downtime

Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, OEMs, and warranty providers

Ensure accurate maintenance records, compliance documentation, and system updates are maintained

You will drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workshop efficiency, reliability, and cost control.
What makes you great
- Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle or Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Strong experience in fleet, heavy vehicle, or diesel maintenance environments

Proven leadership and team supervision skills suits your profile

Sound knowledge of safety, compliance, and maintenance documentation requirements

You have excellent planning, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities

Strong computer literacy and experience using maintenance management systems

We offer an hourly rate $40-$55 per hour plus allowances based on vehicle type.
