Our Northfleet property team have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Acquisition Manager to be responsible for the expansion and management of our portfolio targeting multiple towns and locations across the South East from Kent to Brighton. You can expect and look forward to ownership of the full development and planning processes from concept to completion

You will be involved in the full asset lifecycle from initial site identification, deal negotiation, obtaining board approvals, managing the legal process, running planning right through to legal completion. . You will be developing relationships with key third parties along the way including landlords, tenants, local authorities, agents and developers.

What you'll do

- Identifying, negotiating and acquiring freehold and leasehold deals to build new stores, turning big plans into reality

- Undertake site inspections, development appraisals, manage site, legal and planning due diligence on all opportunities

- Manage planning applications from original submission, through to consent and discharge of conditions

- Leading all expansion, relocation and improvement projects to our current portfolio

- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with local authorities, agents, landlords, tenants and developers

- Driving the full development and planning process from initial concept to final completion

- Real estate management of our freehold and leasehold assets

- Train and develop members of the Property Team.

What you'll need

- Previous experience and knowledge in retail acquisitions, land buying, commercial property or town planning

- A well networked individual with refined negotiating skills

- Sound commercial property and legal acumen

- Excellent communication and organisational skills

- A highly analytical mindset with the ability to multi-task and handle conflicting deadlines

- A full driving licence and the flexibility to travel throughout the assigned patch, with occasional nationwide travel

- A self-starting drive to succeed, a get up and go attitude

- MRICS preferred but not essential

You will be based out of our regional property office in Northfleet, Gravesend, Kent. You will be expected to be in the office 2 days a week and out in your patch at least 1 day per week with an option to work remotely up to 2 days a week.
