Cielo is partnering, on a confidential basis, with a global market leader to hire VAT Specialists into a brand-new team in Poland. This is a rare chance to join at the foundation of a major Finance transformation, shaping how indirect tax is managed across multiple European markets rather than inheriting someone else's process.

What you'll be doing
- Owning VAT compliance and reporting across multiple EU markets — preparing and reviewing VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, and Intrastat, alongside local filings (including Poland's JPK / SAF-T)
- Analysing and reconciling VAT and accounting data, and resolving discrepancies before they become audit findings
- Supporting tax audits and responding to authority queries with clean, well-documented positions
- Partnering closely with Finance, Tax, and business stakeholders across the group
- Helping drive process improvement, standardisation, and automation as the function scales — including readiness for e-invoicing and digital reporting mandates (e.g. KSeF in Poland and the EU's ViDA agenda)
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field; a professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CTA or local equivalent) is a plus
- 2–10 years in General Accounting, Audit, Tax, or VAT / Indirect Tax, with hands-on VAT compliance and reporting experience
- Multi-country / multi-market VAT experience is essential — you're comfortable working across jurisdictions
- Solid understanding of VAT regulations and indirect tax principles, with strong reconciliation skills
- Confident in Excel and an ERP environment (SAP is a strong advantage); exposure to tax engines or reporting tools (e.g. SAP DRC, OneSource, Vertex) is welcome
- Fluent English; another European language is a bonus
- Sharp eye for detail and a genuine appetite for improving how things are done
