Hardware Security Engineer
We’re looking for a Hardware Security Engineer to join a team tackling complex security challenges across electronic and cyber-physical systems.
You’ll investigate vulnerabilities, analyse hardware platforms, develop proof-of-concept solutions, and help deliver innovative approaches to solving challenging security problems.
What you’ll be doing:
- Researching and analysing electronic systems and hardware architectures
- Identifying hardware and cyber-physical security vulnerabilities
- Conducting hardware analysis, testing, and vulnerability research
- Developing proof-of-concept prototypes and technical demonstrations
- Debugging and analysing hardware using tools such as JTAG, UART, SWD, oscilloscopes, and logic analysers
- Reverse engineering hardware and firmware where required
- Working with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical security solutions
We're looking for someone with:
- A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline
- Experience working with electronics, hardware systems, or security research
- Hands-on experience debugging hardware and developing prototypes
- Experience with hardware analysis, testing, or reverse engineering
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex technical challenges
- The ability to communicate technical findings clearly and effectively
- A collaborative approach to working across engineering and security teams
