We are seeking an experienced AIFMD subject matter expert to provide operational support for recurring AIFMD / Annex IV regulatory reporting, alongside regulatory change analysis and implementation support relating to AIFMD II (AIFMD 2.0).
The engagement will focus on ensuring the client maintains accurate, timely and compliant regulatory reporting, while strengthening operational processes and controls and preparing the organisation for upcoming regulatory and reporting requirements.
Requirements
- Provide ongoing operational support for AIFMD / Annex IV reporting, ensuring submissions are timely, complete and accurate
- Review and assess existing AIFMD reporting processes, data flows, controls, governance and ownership models
- Analyse upcoming AIFMD II / AIFMD 2.0 regulatory requirements and assess their impact on current processes and operating models
- Identify gaps between current-state capabilities and future regulatory requirements, including process, data, system and control gaps
- Translate regulatory requirements into clear and actionable business, operational, data, technology and control requirements
- Support the implementation of required changes to processes, controls, reporting methodologies and documentation
- Identify and assess key risks, issues, gaps, dependencies and implementation considerations
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to stakeholders across Compliance, Operations, Legal, Risk, Data, IT and Fund Administration
- Support the development and maintenance of process documentation, procedures, controls and regulatory reporting materials
- Prepare clear, management-ready documentation and status updates where required
- Support knowledge transfer and handover to internal teams to ensure sustainable ownership of AIFMD reporting activities
Essential Experience & Skills
- Strong AIFMD subject matter expertise with a solid understanding of the regulatory framework
- Proven experience working with AIFMD / Annex IV regulatory reporting
- Experience in regulatory change analysis, impact assessment and implementation
- Strong understanding of regulatory reporting processes, data flows, controls and governance
- Demonstrable ability to identify and articulate risks, gaps, issues and dependencies
- Experience translating regulatory requirements into practical business, operational, data and technology requirements
- Proven ability to work effectively across Compliance, Operations, Risk, Legal, Data, IT and Fund Administration functions
- Strong analytical, documentation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities within a regulatory change environment
Desirable Experience
- Direct experience with AIFMD II / AIFMD 2.0 and its emerging requirements
- Previous experience within Asset Management, Investment Management or Fund Administration
- Experience producing clear, concise and management-ready deliverables
- Experience supporting knowledge transfer, operational handover and capability build within internal teams
- Experience working on broader regulatory reporting transformation or change programmes
