Procurement Category Manager | Hybrid | Multiple U.S. Locations
Ready to take your procurement career beyond purchasing and into strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, and category management? Client is looking for a Procurement Category Manager to help drive smarter supplier decisions, stronger contracts, and measurable cost savings.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage IT/Engineering vendor categories and strategic supplier relationships
- Lead RFP/RFx, market research, competitive bidding, and sourcing initiatives
- Negotiate vendor contracts and collaborate with Legal and business stakeholders
- Identify and implement cost savings and cost-avoidance opportunities
- Monitor vendor SLAs, spend, performance, QBRs/MBRs, escalations, and compliance
What You Bring:
- 6+ years of sourcing and procurement experience
- Experience with IT/Technology vendor management
- Strong contract negotiation and contract drafting experience
- Proven success driving cost savings, cost avoidance, and spend optimization
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; procurement software experience such as ZIP is a plus
