As a Management Accountant in the property industry, you'll handle the day-to-day financial records and transactions for 3 trading company entities ensuring everything runs smoothly and is accurately maintained. This role is key to supporting the business's financial health and compliance.

Description
- Maintaining the companies ledgers, including all relevant postings
- Reporting up to and including trial balance stage. If appropriate, preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Preparation of monthly payrolls.
- Working closely with the commercial teams to provide timely and accurate trading information.
- Preparation and submission of HMRC reports as required, principally VAT and CIS returns.
- Continuous evaluation of the company's accounting procedures, updating as required.
- Bank reconciliations, credit control and cashflow forecasting.
Profile
- Would suit individual qualified by experience.
- Previous experience of working in a similar role.
- Ability to interpret financial statements and provide commentary.
- Ability to work in a pro-active manner, with the flexibility to switch between tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Calm personality: able to meet deadlines and adapt to the needs of the role as may be required.
- Ability to work as part of a team and deal with colleagues (incl. non-finance colleagues) and external contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
- Excellent Microsoft office skills, in particular excel and word.
- Experience of Xero and / or Quickbooks software.
- Knowledge of construction industry, incl. CIS tax and domestic reverse VAT charge an advantage.
