As People & Culture Business Partner (P&C BP) Spain, you will play a key role in shaping and implementing the People & Culture strategy across our Barcelona and Madrid offices.

Working closely with local leadership and the wider P&C organization, you will provide strategic and operational HR support across the employee lifecycle. You will contribute to organizational development, employee engagement, talent management, and continuous improvement, while ensuring our HR practices remain aligned with business needs and Spanish employment legislation.

This is a broad and hands-on role, covering recruitment, compensation & benefits, performance and talent management, employee relations, HR operations, compliance, and culture initiatives.

This position is a 12-month maternity leave replacement.

Recruitment & Onboarding

- Partner with local management and the P&C BP AG team throughout the recruitment process across all departments and seniority levels.

- Support effective talent attraction and recruitment strategies for the Spanish organization.

- Coordinate a smooth and engaging onboarding experience, including employment topics, health & safety requirements, and local benefits.

Compensation & Benefits

- Manage and coordinate local compensation and benefits processes.

- Support the review and optimization of salary structures, benefits, and employee perks.

- Contribute to job evaluation and organizational structures, ensuring internal equity and market competitiveness.

- Coordinate with external HR partners on employment contracts, amendments, termination agreements, and other employment documentation.

Performance, Talent & Development

- Support the annual performance management and appraisal process.

- Develop and support talent management initiatives, including programs for young professionals and graduates.

- Identify development opportunities and support managers in developing and retaining talent.

- Contribute to training needs analysis and strategic workforce planning.

Employee Relations & HR Business Partnering

- Act as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related and sensitive personnel matters.

- Provide guidance to managers on employee relations, organizational topics, and people-related decisions.

- Support organizational development and change initiatives in line with the company's strategic objectives.

HR Operations & Compliance

- Ensure the correct application of Spanish labour legislation and local HR policies.

- Monitor key HR requirements, including working time registration, leave management, and employee benefits.

- Ensure consistent implementation of local policies, including company car and mobile working policies.

- Work closely with external labour-law and HR partners when required.

HR Systems, Culture & Engagement

- Support the implementation and further development of SAP HR and other HR digitalization initiatives.

- Use HR data and insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement.

- Develop initiatives that promote employee engagement, wellbeing, collaboration, and inclusion.

- Contribute to internal communication and employer branding initiatives to strengthen CHG-MERIDIAN's position as an employer of choice in Spain.

Your Profile

- 5+ years of professional HR experience, ideally in an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist role.

- Strong knowledge of Spanish labour law and HR practices.

- Experience across several HR areas, including recruitment, employee relations, compensation & benefits, performance management, and talent development.

- Proven experience partnering with managers and senior stakeholders in a business environment.

- Strong understanding of organizational development and change management.

- Experience working with HR systems; knowledge of SAP HR/SAP SuccessFactors is an advantage.

- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with international and cross-functional teams.

- A proactive, hands-on approach combined with strategic thinking.

- Fluent in Spanish and English
