An established technology business is looking for a technical specialist to join the team and shape the production-related IT landscape. The successful candidate will focus on increasing automation levels and optimizing software systems within a high-end manufacturing environment. This role involves working on robust, high-availability solutions designed for continuous 24/7 operations.
What you'll be doing
• Integrating production equipment into the manufacturing system and expanding equipment interfaces
• Designing and implementing high-availability software solutions including code and change management
• Managing development projects for internal software solutions and taking responsibility for source code
• Optimizing the software landscape to increase efficiency in high-end production environments
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary departments, engineers, and international partners
What we're looking for
• Degree in Computer Science, Automation Technology, or a comparable technical qualification
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming such as C#, Java, or Python and web technologies
• Experience with industry-specific communication standards such as SECS/GEM
• Knowledge of relational databases like Oracle or MS-SQL and CI/CD tools like Git and Jenkins
• Professional fluency in German and English with experience in agile methodologies
