Position Title: Sr Network Engineer
Location - 95, Middletown, NY 10941 (3-4 days onsite)(Local Candidates only)
Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST

Key Responsibilities
- Provide regular feedback on project status, milestones, risks, and potential impacts.
- Develop LAN/WAN strategies and evaluate, select, implement, and integrate hardware and software products into comprehensive network solutions that meet business requirements.
- Perform after-hours systems support, installations, maintenance, implementations, and production changes as required.
- Provide specialized technical expertise to research and resolve complex network infrastructure issues, including coordination with hardware and software vendors.
- Advise team members on procedures, techniques, and requirements to ensure maximum performance, reliability, and availability of company infrastructure.
- Recommend improvements to network processes, systems, operational procedures, and infrastructure standards.
- Conduct implementations, conversions, and upgrades in alignment with Standard Operating Procedures and approved change management processes during maintenance windows.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, project managers, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams and implementation-related materials.
- Work closely with vendors on product and service implementation, troubleshooting, and support activities.
- Ensure security and operational standards are maintained in accordance with UHG IT compliance requirements, HIPAA standards, and industry best practices.
- Perform risk analysis to identify IT security issues, develop remediation plans, and mitigate operational risks where appropriate.
- Maintain strong cross-functional relationships through excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Participate in after-hours and on-call support as needed.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have strong network design and deployment experience in enterprise environments, with hands-on expertise across Cisco, Aruba, Nexus, Catalyst, SD-WAN, Wireless, Cisco ISE, NAC, and 802.1X technologies.
Required Skills and Experience
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of Network Engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Cisco routers, switches, and wireless infrastructure.
- Experience with HPE/Aruba switches and wireless technologies.
- Working knowledge of Cisco ISE and Network Access Control.
- Knowledge and experience with SD-WAN technologies.
- Strong understanding of LAN/WAN networking concepts, routing, switching, wireless infrastructure, and enterprise network operations.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network infrastructure issues and coordinate resolution with internal teams and external vendors.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Availability to support after-hours work and participate in on-call support when required.
