Quantum Application Engineer

Classiq is seeking a full-time Quantum Application Engineer to join our growing team in Tokyo/Seoul. As a key member of our global Quantum Applications team, you will play a crucial role in driving customer success, supporting technical engagements, and accelerating the adoption of our cutting-edge quantum software platform. In this role, you will collaborate closely with both customers and internal stakeholders. You’ll provide hands-on technical support, lead complex project implementations, and apply your expertise in quantum algorithms and application development using the Classiq platform.

Your contributions will be critical to ensuring successful customer deployments and will help identify opportunities to enhance our product offering. This position reports directly to the Managing Director, Japan & APAC and Commercial Director of Korea, with a dotted-line report to the Director of Quantum Applications Engineering, based at our global headquarters in Tel Aviv, Israel.

What You'll Do

- Strong understanding of quantum computing and quantum algorithms

- Experience in customer-facing technical roles, preferably in B2B or deep-tech environments

- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced startup environment

- Fluent in both Korean and English, with strong English communication skills essential for effective collaboration with teams across Israel, Japan, etc."

- Passionate about advancing quantum computing adoption in South Korea and across the APAC region

- Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Physics, Math, Electrical Engineering, or a related field to quantum computing.

- Experience with quantum information, quantum software engineering, or quantum algorithms

- Strong technical support, troubleshooting, and project management skills

- Preferred: Proficiency in Python programming will be a plus

What Will Your Day Look Like?

- Implement sophisticated quantum algorithms using Classiq’s platform

- Providing technical support to Classiq's customers

- Troubleshooting issues and managing projects related to quantum algorithms and applications

- Collaborating with the global Quantum Application Engineering team and the APAC GTM teams

- Driving customer success and identifying opportunities for product enhancement

- Creating and presenting demos of novel quantum algorithms and applications to various prospects

- Promoting Classiq’s brand and values within the Korean quantum ecosystem as a Classiq’s evangelist
