Role: Consultant - SAP HCM

Experience: 3–6 Years

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP HCM Consultant to join our team, supporting UK-based SAP HR support engagements. The ideal candidate will have hands-on functional expertise across core SAP HCM modules, with a strong focus on UK-specific processes and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather business requirements and translate them into SAP HCM functional specifications and configuration

- Configure, support, and enhance SAP HCM modules including Personnel Administration (PA), Organisational Management (OM), Time Management, and UK Payroll

- Configure and support Employee Self-Service (ESS) and Manager Self-Service (MSS) workflows and processes

- Work with Time Management configuration, including exposure to positive time management, Work Schedules, Holiday Calendar and absence quota concepts.

- Configure and support Cross-Application Time Sheet (CATS) for time recording and approvals

- Handle UK Payroll configuration and processing, including statutory requirements, taxation, and pension schemes

- Collaborate with technical/ABAP teams to design, test, and implement custom developments, reports, and interfaces

- Prepare functional specifications, test scripts, and documentation for configuration and enhancements

- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT cycles

- Troubleshoot and resolve production support issues and defects within agreed SLAs

- Liaise with business stakeholders, HR teams, and payroll teams to ensure smooth delivery of solutions

Required Skills & Experience

- Proven experience as an SAP HCM Functional Consultant, with exposure to full lifecycle implementations and/or support projects

- Strong functional knowledge of:

- Personnel Administration (PA)

- Organisational Management (OM)

- Employee Self-Service (ESS) and Manager Self-Service (MSS)

- Time Management (including knowledge of positive time management)

- CATS (Cross-Application Time Sheet)

- UK Payroll, taxation, and pension processes

- Ability to read and interpret ABAP/technical logic to support debugging and coordinate with development teams

- Experience preparing functional specifications and working closely with technical teams on custom developments

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex configuration and payroll issues

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- Ability to work independently as well as within cross-functional project teams
