JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead large-scale mission-critical construction projects within a fast-paced data center environment. This individual will take ownership of active projects, providing site leadership, managing contractors and stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
The ideal candidate has experience independently managing commercial construction projects from start to finish with minimal oversight. This role requires a strong construction management background with the ability to oversee all aspects of project execution, including planning, scheduling, contract administration, vendor coordination, quality control, and stakeholder management.
Responsibilities:
Lead construction projects from active execution through completion and turnover.
Manage day-to-day site operations, project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
Coordinate and direct general contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, consultants, and vendors.
Lead cross-functional teams including design, procurement, operations, IT/network, and finance. Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and company processes.
Manage contracts, change orders, cost forecasts, budgets, and project documentation.
Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve risks or issues.
Inspect work in place to ensure quality, schedule, and performance expectations are met.
Provide regular project updates to leadership regarding status, milestones, challenges, and mitigation plans.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, vendors, and project teams.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and construction best practices.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
9+ years of commercial construction management experience.
Experience independently running construction projects or sites with limited supervision. Background working for a General Contractor (GC), General Contractor Representative (GCR), or subcontractor.
Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Data center construction experience.
Semiconductor construction experience.
Experience supporting large-scale mission-critical or hyperscale projects.
