Trauma Registrar – Remote Contract
Location: Kansas City, KS
Contract: 13 weeks | Temp-to-Perm opportunity for local candidates

Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- 9-hour days
- Fully remote after orientation
- No weekends, floating, or on-call required
- Orientation: 2-day onsite orientation on Monday & Tuesday during the first week
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Trauma Registrar experience
- Minimum 5 years of ICD-10 coding experience
- AIS-15 Coding Certificate required
- Experience with NTDB (National Trauma Data Bank)
- Must be current with American College of Surgeons (ACS) criteria for Trauma Registrars
Responsibilities
- Perform trauma registry abstraction and maintain accurate trauma patient records.
- Review medical records and assign appropriate trauma registry data elements and ICD-10 codes.
- Ensure trauma registry data meets current ACS and NTDB standards.
- Maintain accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of registry submissions.
- Collaborate with clinical and trauma program teams as
- needed to clarify patient and registry information.
