What You'll Do
As an IT Applications Specialist, you will:
- Support, maintain, and enhance business applications and web-based systems.
- Develop and implement application improvements, workflows, reports, and forms.
- Maintain and update public-facing and internal websites.
- Troubleshoot application and system issues and provide technical support to users.
- Collaborate with departments to identify opportunities for process improvement through technology.
- Assist with database management, application integrations, and system administration activities.
- Participate in software testing, documentation, and project implementation efforts.
- Train users and create documentation that promotes effective use of technology solutions.
- Support cloud-hosted and on-premises systems that enable daily operations.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, or a related field.
- At least one year of experience supporting business applications, websites, or information systems. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience with web technologies such as: PHP, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and/or SQL.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal.
- Experience with SharePoint administration or development.
- Familiarity with Linux systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.
- Experience using Git or similar version control tools.
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices.
- Experience creating user guides, training materials, and technical documentation.
