Analyst, Investment Banking | London
An excellent opportunity for an ambitious graduate looking to join a collaborative and growing Investment Banking team in London.
Working closely with senior bankers, including the Deputy Head of Investment Banking, you will gain hands-on exposure to live client work across corporate finance, equity capital markets and transaction execution. This is a role for someone who enjoys combining analytical work with clear communication, teamwork and the opportunity to build trusted client relationships.
You will be supported to develop quickly, take ownership of high-quality work and build a strong foundation for a long-term career in investment banking.
The opportunity
From day one, you will play a meaningful role in supporting senior team members on client accounts, live transactions and marketing initiatives. The work will be varied, commercially relevant and intellectually demanding, with exposure to UK listed-company and capital-markets matters.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing polished pitch books, presentations and marketing materials for clients and prospective clients.
- Supporting financial analysis, including valuation work, integrated financial modelling, sensitivity analysis and capital/funding-structure analysis.
- Assisting with the preparation of shareholder circulars, prospectuses, information memoranda and other transaction documentation.
- Helping to maintain transaction and client files to a consistently high standard.
- Supporting the day-to-day management and administration of client accounts.
- Developing knowledge of the UK listed-company environment, including the London Stock Exchange, AIM Regulation, the FCA and the Takeover Panel.
- Building effective working relationships across the team and contributing positively to a supportive, high-performing culture.
About you
This role would suit someone with strong academic credentials, genuine curiosity about financial markets and a desire to learn from experienced investment-banking professionals.
You are likely to bring:
- A degree qualification and a clear interest in investment banking, corporate finance or UK equity capital markets.
- Previous exposure to an investment bank, corporate finance boutique, accountancy firm, transaction-services team or related financial-services environment; this would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Strong analytical ability, with an interest in financial modelling and valuation.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing accurate, well-presented work.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- A highly organised approach and the ability to manage competing priorities under deadline.
- A proactive, thoughtful and adaptable mindset.
- The confidence to ask questions, contribute ideas and build relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Strong technology skills and comfort working with financial and presentation tools.
Why consider this role?
- Direct exposure to senior decision-makers and experienced bankers.
- Broad, practical transaction experience across corporate finance and capital markets.
- Genuine responsibility, rather than a narrowly defined support role.
- A collaborative environment where quality, professionalism and development are valued.
- An opportunity to build both technical capability and the relationship skills needed for a successful long-term banking career.
