Manager, Media Strategy & Planning
Location: Universal City, CA
Schedule: Hybrid — 4 days onsite, Fridays remote
Term: 6+ month contract
We're looking for a Media Strategy & Planning Manager to lead media planning across all channels for a 6+ month contract, working closely with the Senior Director of Media.
REQUIRED: Prior Entertainment experience.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute media strategies/plans for supported shows, in partnership with the Senior Director, Media
- Prepare media briefs, plan recommendations, campaign recaps, and presentations for leadership and agency partners
- Use research, analytics, and audience insights to guide media recommendations and investment decisions
- Partner with cross-functional teams on marketing plans, representing the media team and communicating strategy/updates
- Oversee end-to-end campaign execution — assets developed, approved, delivered, and launched on time
- Help manage financial reporting tied to the media budget
- Support the broader media team with ad-hoc projects as needed
What You Need
- 5+ years of media planning/buying experience across all channels
- Strong foundation in marketing, advertising, and media planning
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple campaigns, timelines, and deadlines independently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Analytical and strategic thinker who can turn data into clear, actionable recommendations
- Understanding of TV and digital viewing measurement
- Knowledge of the digital advertising ecosystem (ad servers, DSPs, SSPs, networks, exchanges, creative optimizers, data providers)
- Previous people management/coaching experience
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in liberal arts, marketing, communications/advertising, or media studies
- Media agency experience
- Entertainment marketing or media experience
- Knowledge of the Broadcast/Streaming TV industry
- Proactive, collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset
- Strong Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills; familiarity with AI tools like Microsoft Copilot
