Product Consultant – Banking SaaS

🚀 Building the initial North American team
I’m working with a fast-growing banking technology company that is making a significant investment in the US market.
Its cloud-native SaaS platform enables banks and financial institutions to modernize legacy infrastructure, launch new products, and deliver better digital banking experiences.
They’re now looking for a Product Consultant to join the initial North American team in Charlotte and lead complex client transformation and implementation projects.
This isn’t a traditional product management position. You’ll sit between the client, product, and engineering teams, translating complex banking requirements into practical technology solutions and ensuring they’re delivered successfully.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading major banking technology programmes from discovery through implementation
- Taking ownership of a functional workstream, such as onboarding, payments or cards
- Running client workshops, discovery sessions and technology demonstrations
- Understanding each bank’s challenges, priorities and existing technology landscape
- Translating client requirements into structured solutions for product and engineering teams
- Influencing the US product roadmap based on local market and client requirements
- Coordinating delivery across clients, product, engineering and solution architecture
- Managing senior stakeholders throughout complex transformation programmes
- Supporting clients through pre-sales, implementation and transition into live service
- Helping establish delivery methodologies as the North American function scales
The background required
You’ll need to come from one of two backgrounds:
- A leading consulting firm, where you’ve delivered major banking, financial-services or technology-transformation programmes; or
- A BaaS, core-banking or financial SaaS vendor, where you’ve led significant client implementations or transformation projects
You should also have:
- Strong financial-services and technology-delivery experience
- Experience owning complex projects or functional workstreams
- Confidence running workshops and presenting technology to clients
- The ability to understand complicated client problems and turn them into structured solutions
- Experience working across product, engineering and senior client stakeholders
- Strong project and programme-management skills
- The confidence to operate autonomously within a growing US team
- The flexibility to travel nationally and internationally when required
This would suit someone who enjoys the variety and pace of consulting but wants to move closer to the product, helping shape how a modern banking platform is implemented and developed for the US market.
