The impact you’ll make
At Lam, as a Buyer/Planner, you play a crucial role in planning, scheduling, and monitoring material movement through the production cycle. Your expertise ensures timely and cost-effective material purchases and maintaining consumption of components at planned levels, through Just in Time purchases and use of Economic Order Quantities (EOQ). You create and maintain bills of materials while upholding materials standards. You'll develop specifications for new contract orders and gather quotations. By monitoring cost, schedule, and scope, you support high quality and value to maintain Lam's competitive edge.
What You’ll Do

- Reviewing and analysing Engineering Request Forms (ERFs).
- Coordinating purchasing activities with Engineering to acquire materials on time.
- Analysing sourcing matrices and engineering specifications.
- Issuing RFQs, processing change orders, and creating purchase orders.
- Working in a fast-paced NPI environment with aggressive deadlines.
- Recommending alternative sourcing when required to meet engineering need dates.
- Collaborating with suppliers, Engineering, Supply Business Managers, QA, Shipping, Receiving, and Accounting to resolve issues.
- Requiring SAP and NPI experience; semiconductor commodity experience is preferred.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
