Company: Rocken® Title: Geomatics Engineer or Geomatics Technician (m/f/d) Salary: CHF 90,000 – 95,000 Role On behalf of our client, we are seeking a specialist to serve as Project Leader Geomatics / Utility Cadastre, responsible for independently managing and leading challenging geospatial projects. You will oversee the collection, processing, and maintenance of utility network and cadastral data, ensuring consistently high data quality. You will work with modern GIS, CAD, and database systems—including AutoCAD Map 3D, Oracle, and PostgreSQL/PostGIS. The position integrates geomatics, geoinformatics, and project management, with regular coordination with municipalities, utility companies, and other clients. Responsibilities Independently manage and lead client projects in geomatics, utility cadastre, and geoinformatics Provide technical oversight for the acquisition, documentation, and ongoing maintenance of utility network data across various media and infrastructure types Prepare, clean, and structure utility and thematic cadastre datasets, including migration of existing data Process and maintain geospatial data using AutoCAD Map 3D and other GIS tools Administer and update spatial datasets in Oracle, PostgreSQL, and PostGIS databases Conduct regular quality assurance checks, plausibility validations, and data audits Generate GIS reports, data analyses, maps, and custom geospatial deliverables for clients Utilize SQL, FME, and QGIS for data querying, transformation, conversion, and automation of geospatial workflows Coordinate surveying and field data collection, and integrate acquired information into existing cadastre and GIS systems Provide technical consultation and regularly coordinate with municipalities, utility providers, and infrastructure operators Document data models, maintenance procedures, and project status, ensuring traceable and auditable data governance Qualifications Completed vocational training as a Geomatics Technician (EFZ), Engineering Draftsman (EFZ, Civil Engineering specialization), or Electrical Planner (EFZ), or equivalent technical education Practical experience in the acquisition and maintenance of utility network or cadastral data Proficient user skills in AutoCAD Map 3D Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and/or PostGIS, as well as relational and/or spatial databases Knowledge of SQL, FME, and QGIS is advantageous Experience in surveying and geospatial data acquisition is advantageous Valid Swiss driving license (Category B) Benefits Attractive continuing education and development opportunities Diverse and interesting projects and tasks Cohesive and dynamic team environment Market- and performance-based compensation ROCKEN Jobs https://rocken.jobs (https://rocken.jobs) Create Profile (https://rocken.jobs/application/profil-erstellen/) new
