Hays is partnering with a large local government organisation to recruit a Rehabilitation Consultant to join their workplace health and wellbeing team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative environment, supporting employees through injury recovery, rehabilitation planning and return-to-work programs in a self-insured workers compensation setting.
What you'll be doing
- Coordinate and oversee workplace rehabilitation and injury management activities
- Support employees recovering from work-related and non-work-related injuries or illnesses
- Develop tailored return-to-work and recovery plans
- Collaborate with leaders, employees, treating health practitioners and key stakeholders
- Provide guidance on workers compensation and rehabilitation best practice
- Maintain accurate case records and reporting within relevant systems
What we're looking for
- Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Exercise Physiology, Rehabilitation Counselling or a related Allied Health discipline
- At least 2 years' experience in injury management, occupational rehabilitation or return-to-work case management
- Understanding of Queensland workers compensation frameworks and rehabilitation processes
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
- Effective organisational skills with the ability to manage a diverse caseload
- Confidence using case management systems and Microsoft Office applications
