Solution Architect for Developer Experience programme - Windows 11 & macOS (f/m/d)

As a Technical Specialist Premium, you will be responsible for engineering and enhancing the Zero Trust Network Access infrastructure supporting Windows, macOS, and iOS devices. You will work closely with Product Management, Operations, Security, and Architecture teams to deliver secure and seamless remote access solutions while continuously improving platform capabilities and user experience.
Operating within a highly collaborative Agile environment, you'll play a key role in backlog refinement, solution design, engineering delivery, and production readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and own the end-to-end solution architecture for the Developer Experience programme across Windows 11 and macOS.
Translate business, developer, operational, and security requirements into scalable, secure, and supportable solutions.
Design secure software distribution capabilities, including package management, trusted repositories, and developer tooling deployment processes.
Establish architecture patterns supporting:
- Application allow-listing
- Least privilege access
- Approved elevation mechanisms
- Software provenance and auditability
- Security and compliance requirements
Lead technical evaluations, architecture reviews, and Proof of Concepts (PoCs), balancing functionality, security, performance, cost, and operational supportability.
Produce architecture deliverables including:
- Solution Architectures
- High-Level Designs (HLDs)
- Integration Designs
- Data Flow Diagrams
- Security Control Mappings
- Technical Decision Records
Collaborate closely with Engineering, Security, EUC, Application Management, and Operations teams to ensure successful implementation and transition into Business-as-Usual (BAU) support.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a Solution Architect delivering enterprise-scale workplace, endpoint, infrastructure, or developer platform solutions.
Strong expertise in:
- Windows 11 & macOS
- Microsoft Intune
- Windows Autopilot
- Microsoft Defender
- Endpoint Privilege Management
- Endpoint Security Architecture
Experience designing:
- Software Packaging & Distribution
- Package Management Solutions
- Trusted Repository Architectures
- Developer Tool Distribution Frameworks
Understanding of modern developer ecosystems including:
- SDLC Tooling
- Git and Source Control
- CI/CD Pipelines
- IDEs
- Containers
- Build Systems
- Command-Line Development Environments
Strong knowledge of:
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Least Privilege Models
- Application Control
- Certificate Management
- Network Proxies
- Security Governance
Ability to influence stakeholders, communicate architecture decisions, and provide technical leadership across global, multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as a Senior Developer, Technical Lead, or Hands-on Engineer.
Familiarity with:
