About the role:
The Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Program Manager reports directly to the Head Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. The role supports the delivery, optimization and evolution of Takeda’s global DE&I programs, using data, digital tools and strong program management discipline to drive adoption, consistency and measurable impact. Working closely with the DE&I core team, HR Centers of Excellence, Technology teams and Takeda Resource Groups (TRGs), the role ensures DE&I programs are well embedded into systems, tool and everyday ways of working, insight‑driven and meaningfully experienced, while operating within established global frameworks and governance.
How you will contribute:

Support the development, delivery and continuous improvement of global DE&I programs and tools aligned to Takeda’s DE&I priorities.

Manage defined DE&I programs or workstreams, owning plans, timelines, dependencies, risks and day‑to‑day execution.

Leverage and manage technology‑enabled DE&I solutions (e.g. intranet content, program portals, dashboards and workflow tools) to embed DE&I into standard processes, workflows and leadership practices

Apply disciplined program and project management practices to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, to quality and with clear outcomes.

Support global communications, campaigns and enterprise DE&I moments in partnership with Communications and HR teams.

Develop materials to help leaders apply DE&I principles in everyday people and business decisions, through guidance, tools and embedded decision prompts.

Support the activation of global DE&I standards through programs that influence hiring, talent discussions, performance and team culture.

Enable leaders through development of training, tools and insight to strengthen inclusive capability and judgement over time.

Leverage established digital platforms, dashboards and reporting tools to track program performance and adoption.

Combine quantitative data and qualitative insight (e.g. participation, feedback, leader sentiment) to monitor impact and identify improvement opportunities.

Translate insight into practical program enhancements and clear guidance for leaders and HR partners.

Partner with technology and analytics teams to test, refine and improve DE&I program components within existing digital solutions.

Deliver programs in line with established global DE&I frameworks, policies and standards.

Monitor risks, dependencies and issues across assigned programs, escalating appropriately with clear recommendations.

Contribute to program evaluations and refreshes using data, insight and lived‑experience feedback.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g. human resources, organizational development, technology, data or related discipline).

DE&I, program or project management certification is advantageous but not required.

Proficiency in English required.

Strong program and project management capability, with experience managing multiple stakeholders.

Practical experience using digital platforms, dashboards, workflow tools, data analytics and emerging technologies, including AI, to deliver, scale and improve people, DE&I or organizational programs.

2+ years delivering DE&I, people or organizational programs, ideally in a matrix environment.

Ability to approach DE&I program delivery with care, psychological safety, and respect for employee vulnerability, particularly when working with sensitive identity-related data or experiences.

Ability to translate strategy and data into clear guidance, messaging and practical tools.

Strong written and verbal English communication skills, including confidence working with sensitive and identity‑related topics.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively across cultures, regions and organizational boundaries

Willingness to travel occasionally.
