The IE School of Politics, Economics and Global Affairs is dedicated to teaching, researching and reflecting on world affairs. The mission of the School is to shape internationally oriented professionals for excellence, achievement, and leadership in an increasingly complex and multipolar world. Our undergraduate and graduate programs are fully taught in English and combine a multidisciplinary approach to professional education with the application of theory to practical issues in global affairs.

The IE School of Politics, Economics and Global Affairs is running a Bachelor in International Relations (BIR) and a Bachelor in Economics (BIE) and from September 2025, a new Bachelor’s in Political Science. In addition, the School offers dual degrees with Law (LLBBIR), with Business Administration (BBABIR), with Economics (BIEBIR) and Applied Mathematics (BIEBAM) and a Dual Bachelor in Business Administration and Political Science that began on September 2025 in the Segovia Campus.

The Junior Manager is responsible for the operative execution of the non-operative faculty and SPEGA transversal events, development of new initiatives.

The Junior Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement of program delivery. This position bridges operational execution and strategic program management, leading key initiatives while supervising program support staff.

This role requires a proactive mindset with proven leadership abilities who can accomplish the administrative tasks required for overseeing complex projects and collaborating across departments to enhance the student and faculty experience. The Junior Manager will work closely with the Executive Directors of Undergraduate and Institutional units to implement program innovations, manage quality standards, and drive operational efficiency as well as the give Administrative support to Vice dean of Academic Affairs and internal Faculty.

The post will be located on the campus in Madrid and might include regular visits to the other campus in Segovia.

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid - IE Tower

Responsibilities:

Your role as a Junior Manager will involve:

Program Operations & Quality Management

-
Oversee the day-to-day execution of Operational and Administrative processes of SPEGA Faculty including internal, adjunct and guest visitors as part of non- academic operations.

Laise with the Bachelor Executive Director to keep track of the different projects where faculty deliver added value to the students or other stakeholders (Research Assistants, Seminar Series, mobility, etc.

Track and supervise the annual operational processes related to Faculty planning for program modules, including counterparts such planning, documentation, and Research Office.

Monitor and analyze administrative reporting as well as make sure there is a delivery of payments to suppliers.

-
Ensure compliance with academic policies, institutional standards, and regulatory requirements.

Develop and maintain operational procedures and documentation to standardize processes across the team.

Faculty & Student Support

-
Serve as a liaison between faculty and program management, addressing concerns and facilitating communication.

Support faculty onboarding, training, and ongoing technical assistance in collaboration with the Coordinator.

Handle escalated student issues and concerns, providing solutions and ensuring student satisfaction.

-
Coordinate with internal faculty representatives to gather feedback and implement improvements.

Budget reporting & Resource Management

Assist with budget monitoring and expense tracking for program activities.

Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for program-related services.

-
Optimize resource utilization to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality standards.

Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and analytics for the Faculty Head and Executive Directors.

Maintain accurate records and documentation of program activities, decisions, and outcomes.

The candidate must feel comfortable working in a busy environment that will require multi-tasking and the ability to manage a high volume of work. The successful candidate should be detail-oriented, enjoy interacting with faculty and be a team player. The most relevant tasks managed by the Junior Manager include, but are not limited to, the following:

Qualifications:

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

Minimum of 3-4 years of professional experience in accounting, operations, or control departments.

Full fluency in Spanish (written and spoken) and high capacity to communicate in English (written and spoken).

Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a continuous improvement mindset.

Experience working in a fast-paced, multicultural environment with diverse stakeholders.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel and project management tools.

Strategic thinking combined with attention to operational detail.

Valid EU work permit.
