Strategy & Operations Manager
Overview
We’re looking for a Strategy & Operations Manager to work directly with Tonder’s leadership on the projects and operating systems that matter most to the company.
This is not a traditional coordination role.
We’re looking for someone who can take an ambiguous priority, understand the desired outcome, create structure around it, remove blockers, and push execution until the project is actually finished.
You’ll work across Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Risk, Customer Success, and other areas of the company.
Your job is to help Tonder execute faster and better.
What you’ll own
- Turn company priorities into clear projects, owners, deadlines, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
- Drive high-priority cross-functional projects from ambiguity through completion.
- Identify execution bottlenecks, understand the root cause, and actively remove them.
- Build and improve our operating systems for goals, planning, accountability, documentation, and execution.
- Identify repetitive processes and replace them with better systems, automation, or AI workflows.
- Give leadership clear visibility into what is moving, what is blocked, and what requires a decision.
- Dive directly into operational problems instead of simply coordinating between teams.
- Continuously identify what should happen next rather than waiting for the next assigned task.
What we’re looking for
- Experience in Strategy & Operations, Business Operations, Product Operations, consulting, or a similar high-ownership environment.
- Strong ability to own and drive cross-functional projects.
- Extremely organized and analytical, with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written communication and documentation.
- Comfortable working directly with founders and senior leadership.
- Ability to prioritize and make progress with incomplete information.
- Strong use of AI and automation to research, analyze, document, and execute faster.
- High urgency and respect for deadlines.
- Someone who looks beyond the assigned task, identifies what else needs to happen, and takes ownership of moving it forward.
- Experience in fintech or a high-growth technology company is a plus.
