About the Company
We are looking for a Senior Applied AI/ML Engineer to join an international client on a basis, fully remote from Poland, with immediate availability. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with a strong track record delivering production-grade ML and GenAI systems in enterprise environments—someone equally comfortable building data pipelines, ML platforms, and GenAI-powered products such as RAG and agent-based workflows.
About the Role
This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with a strong track record delivering production-grade ML and GenAI systems in enterprise environments—someone equally comfortable building data pipelines, ML platforms, and GenAI-powered products such as RAG and agent-based workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own end-to-end ML and GenAI systems, from data pipelines to production deployment
- Develop and deploy GenAI capabilities including RAG pipelines and supervised agent workflows using tools such as LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, Pinecone, or FAISS
- Build and maintain ML models (XGBoost, LightGBM, scikit-learn, PyTorch) for real-world business use cases such as scoring, ranking, and predictive analytics
- Integrate GenAI capabilities via APIs (GPT-4o, GPT-3.5, Claude AI, Hugging Face) into secure, production-grade services
- Own AI service architecture across cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure), ensuring scalability, reliability, and observability
- Apply model lifecycle and evaluation best practices (MLflow, offline evaluation, A/B testing) to tie AI delivery to measurable business impact
- Implement AI governance and compliance-aware practices: access controls, audit logging, PII redaction, and privacy reviews
- Collaborate closely with backend, product, and operations teams to embed AI capabilities into existing workflows
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software/ML engineering, with a strong track record delivering production AI/ML systems
Required Skills
- Proven hands-on experience with GenAI: LLM integration (GPT-4o, Claude), RAG pipelines, and agent/orchestration frameworks (LangGraph, Semantic Kernel)
- Strong applied ML background: XGBoost, LightGBM, scikit-learn, PyTorch
- Solid data and platform engineering skills: Airflow, Kafka, Spark, FastAPI, REST and event-driven architectures
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS and/or Azure), containers, and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with IaC and CI/CD tooling: Terraform, GitHub Actions, Jenkins
- Experience working in regulated or compliance-sensitive environments (e.g., financial services, healthcare, automotive) is highly valued
- Strong communication skills, comfortable bridging technical execution with business stakeholders
Preferred Skills
- Experience with observability tooling: Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry
- Experience with vector databases and embeddings (Pinecone, FAISS, OpenAI embeddings)
- Background in fraud detection, financial intelligence, or transaction risk systems
- Experience mentoring engineers or acting as technical lead for AI initiatives
