We are seeking a Controlling Master Data Specialist, to join Mercedes‑Benz Group. This role offers the opportunity to develop in an international environment, contribute to high‑impact projects across Europe, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Purpose
As a Controlling Master Data Specialist, you will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and quality assurance of financial master data within SAP. You play a key role in ensuring data consistency and enabling smooth downstream processes such as monthly closing, reporting, planning, and billing.
Depending on your experience level, you will take on responsibilities ranging from operational data maintenance (Junior) to advisory and process optimization roles (Senior)
Master data is the foundation of all controlling processes. In this role, you directly ensure the reliability of financial insights and enable efficient business steering across the organization.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Create and maintain controlling master data in SAP, including:
- Cost centers
- Allocations / cycles
- Internal orders
- WBS elements (PSP elements)
- Ensure high data quality and consistency across systems
- Understand and manage dependencies between master data and downstream processes (e.g., closing, reporting, planning, invoicing)
- Support and advise stakeholders on master data structures and requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Controlling, IT, Business Units)
- Roll-In Support: Testing / User Information & Training
- Contribute to continuous improvement and automation of master data processes
- Take ownership of complex topics, act as a subject matter expert, and support process design and governance
Cualificación
Education
- Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Controlling, or a related field
IT Skills
- Hands-on experience with SAP in the area of master data maintenance (CO)
- Experience with ServiceNow (SNOW)
- Interest in digitalization and AI-driven solutions, e.g.:
- Use of chatbots
- Automation of mass data maintenance (Scripting / Mass Creation via Winshuttle)
Languages
- Proficiency in English
- Good command of German (written and spoken)
Competences
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Solid understanding of end-to-end controlling processes
- Strong analytical mindset and structured way of working
- Ability to work in a collaborative and advisory role
- Experience in process optimization and/or transformation environments
