Senior Technical Product Manager – APIs & Integrations

Their platform enables clients, partners, and service providers to digitise onboarding, investment, and reporting processes through a connected, open-architecture ecosystem.

The Role
As Senior Technical Product Manager, you will own the vision, roadmap, and delivery of external-facing and internal integration capabilities, including APIs, SDKs, and third-party platform connectors.
You will work closely with engineering, product, operations, and external stakeholders to enable reliable, secure, and efficient integrations for partners, clients, and internal teams. This is a key role in shaping the long-term extensibility of the platform and its wider ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the strategic roadmap for APIs, SDKs, and integrations.
- Develop the long-term vision for how integrations extend the platform’s value for clients, partners, and internal teams.
- Prioritise and deliver API and integration features, including authentication, authorisation, performance, documentation, and versioning.
- Ensure APIs and SDKs are reliable, scalable, secure, and easy for developers to use.
- Partner with engineering and architecture teams on technical decisions, technical debt, and long-term scalability.
- Lead integration engagements with third-party vendors, partners, and clients.
- Assess and deliver integrations with external platforms, such as CRMs, data platforms, reporting tools, and partner systems.
- Act as the technical liaison for external engineering teams, supporting SDK implementation, authentication flows, and performance troubleshooting.
- Align product, engineering, operations, sales, and customer-success teams on roadmap, delivery, and launches.
- Ensure API documentation, SDK references, sample code, integration guides, and best-practice materials remain current.
Requirements
- 6+ years’ product management experience, including technical, platform, API, SDK, or third-party integration-focused roles.
- Strong understanding of API design, authentication and authorisation, SDKs, data models, performance, error handling, and integration architecture.
- Proven ability to own a product roadmap and lead cross-functional delivery from design through launch.
- Able to balance technical constraints with business priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence engaging engineers, external partners, leadership, and commercial stakeholders.
- Analytical and data-driven, with experience defining and tracking product success metrics.
- Comfortable managing multiple integrations, stakeholders, and evolving priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Experience
- Experience in financial services, investment technology, or another regulated industry.
- Familiarity with developer documentation and tooling, including OpenAPI specifications, API reference tools, SDK versioning, sample code, and developer portals.
- Experience mentoring product managers or leading cross-team product initiatives.
