We deploy production AI systems in various industries: investment, consulting, tech, industrials, etc.. You'd build and ship those systems hands-on, from architecture to delivery, across a range of client projects. As a client-facing engineer and core member of the consulting team, you'd also participate in developing client relationships, designing technical solutions and prepare/present client deliverables.
Voila AI is hiring at various levels of seniority, please let us know if you are interested in a full-time position or looking for an internship/fixed term contract.
What you'll do
- Design and build agentic systems to solve hard, strategic problems: LLM agents with structured outputs, e.g. grounded in client knowledge bases (RAG), with the deterministic orchestration around them.
- Design and deliver advanced human-interfacing AI agents (computational workflow design, prompt engineering, tool design, human onboarding, etc.)
- Engineer the supporting stack: APIs, data models, integrations, audit and access.
- Stand up evaluation harnesses (test sets, automated scoring, model comparison) and drive quality on measured results.
- Work closely with client teams, and hand over cleanly
- Build high quality material for technical client presentations
What you bring
- A BSc or MSc degree in a relevant technical field (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Communication Systems, etc.) preferably from a known Swiss university or Engineering school.
- The motivation and interest to work in a growing consultancy with high agency on your work as well as your career. A strong sense of detail, technical excellence and client focus. An ability and satisfaction to learn new things constantly.
- Strong software engineering; comfortable owning a system end to end. Experience with Python, C#, C++ or Web development frameworks.
- Fluency with off-the-shelf GenAI systems, agentic design patterns, and prompt engineering.
- Practical RAG and LLM application experience: grounding, structured outputs, evaluation.
- Solid engineering discipline and experience: version control, CI/CD, testing, and clean, maintainable code.
- Clear communicator who works directly with non-technical stakeholders. Consulting experience appreciated.
- The ability to work in a growing, developing environment, focused on delivering premium quality services and outputs to clients.
- Fluency with AI-assisted software engineering systems (Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) and AI assisted knowledge work environments (ChatGPT Work, Claude Cowork, Dust, etc.)
- Authorization to work in Switzerland.
- A fluent command of written and spoken English
Nice to have
- Experience in regulated / professional-services domains.
- A fluent command of written and spoken German or French
- Experience building and deploying in Cloud Environments, including Azure (AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Containers, etc.).
