Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Agentic AI Engineer role based in Barcelona . The Senior Agentic AI Engineer designs, builds, and maintains agentic AI systems, including autonomous workflows, decision-making agents, and integrations with existing software platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and optimizing machine learning models, implementing neural network architectures, and advancing natural language interfaces for complex business use cases. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, translate them into technical designs, and deliver robust, scalable solutions. The Senior Agentic AI Engineer also reviews code, mentors team members, ensures adherence to best practices, and contributes to architectural decisions and technical roadmaps.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, with experience building production-grade systems and services.
- Expertise in Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks for designing, training, and deploying advanced AI models.
- Hands-on experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP), including model fine-tuning, evaluation, and integration into agentic workflows.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages commonly used in AI (e.g., Python, Java, or similar), and familiarity with relevant frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Experience with system design, APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for scalable AI deployments.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work on-site in a collaborative environment in Düsseldorf, and effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Background in AI, Machine Learning, or related fields; a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience is highly beneficial.
- Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and driving best practices in AI safety, reliability, and performance is a plus.
