AI Platform Engineer (Contract)

Planned start: November 2026 | Initial six-month project with extension option
We are looking for an AI Platform Engineer to build a secure, reusable environment for AI-assisted software development. You will work closely with software engineers and security specialists to bring coding agents into production delivery.
Your responsibilities include:
- Design and operate the platform supporting AI coding agents across the software development lifecycle.
- Build integrations with internal tools using MCP or comparable technologies, including appropriate access controls.
- Establish evaluation methods covering output quality, reliability and operating costs.
- Implement secure execution environments, approval checkpoints and auditability, while integrating with development and deployment workflows.
You bring:
- Practical experience delivering enterprise software using coding agents throughout the development lifecycle.
- Strong platform engineering skills, including reusable development workflows and context management for agents.
- Experience building and operating tool integrations, with a sound understanding of permissions, secrets and data security.
- Fluent German and the ability to explain technical decisions clearly.
