The opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is hiring a full-time HR Specialist to join our team at Southland Casino in West Memphis, Arkansas. As a Human Resources Specialist, you will be responsible for comprehensive HR support, serving as a key resource to team members and leaders by supporting the administration of FMLA, ADA Accommodations, Worker’s Compensation, leaves of absence, Onboarding, Employee Relations and day-to-day HR operations. Working hours are Monday-Friday 11:00 am - 7:00 pm CST.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $45,800 - $73,400 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?

- Coordinate and administer leave, accommodation, workers' compensation, and related case processes through our HR systems in partnership with internal and external stakeholders

- Manage the full lifecycle of assigned cases by maintaining documentation, tracking progress, conducting follow-ups, and processing HR transactions accurately

- Communicate leave requirements, accommodation details, work restrictions, return to work information, and case updates to team members and operational leaders

- Partner with managers on leave administration, workplace accommodations, attendance matters, and return to work processes while escalating complex issues as needed

- Review attendance records, process attendance appeals, conduct audits, and ensure documentation accuracy and compliance with established procedures

- Support onboarding activities by verifying completion and accuracy of employment records and required new hire documentation

- Maintain confidential HR records, oversee Form I-9 compliance, and ensure adherence to applicable employment regulations and company policies

More About You

- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field preferred

- Minimum of 3 years of progressive human resources experience in an HR Specialist, HR Generalist, HR Manager, or comparable HR role

- Strong knowledge and experience managing administer leave, accommodation, workers' compensation, and related case processes required

- Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance requirements, with experience with employee onboarding and Form I-9 compliance

- Experience using an HRIS platforms

- Experience supporting a large hourly workforce in a fast-paced operational environment preferred

- Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and medical information

- Casino, gaming, hospitality, entertainment, food and beverage, or other high-volume operational HR experience preferred

Physical Requirements

- The working hours are Monday-Friday 11:00 am - 7:00 pm CST

- Able to work onsite 100% of the time
