Kelly Services is currently seeking an Optical Tooling Tech for one of our top clients in Jacksonville, FL.

Position Summary

- Under general supervision performs all responsibilities necessary to operate, troubleshoot, adjust, and maintain the diamond turning lathes and metrology equipment.

- Optical Tooling: Tooling Insert production Throughput/Yield Quality Tooling Insert metrology Operate, troubleshoot, adjust, and maintain the diamond turning lathes and metrology equipment.

- Perform a variety of tasks needed to monitor and adjust the process to improve quality.

- Assist with Preventative Maintenance of equipment.

- Monitor equipment and process status for new products.

- Perform routine cleaning and non-routine maintenance with adherence to all safety policies and procedures.

- Monitor and adjust the process to improve throughout.

- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot the equipment while adhering to all safety procedures in the Optical Tooling area.

- Perform routine cleaning and clearing of equipment.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities

Qualifications

- High School Degree or equivalent 1-2 year s maintenance or machine operations desired, good mathematical skills

- General knowledge and troubleshooting skills in one or more of the following areas:

- Process improvement

- electro/mechanical devices

- safety devices

- equipment installation

- debug and qualification

- electro-mechanical troubleshooting/repair

- production start-up

- equipment process development

- mechanical devices controller

- Troubleshooting of equipment

- CNC Machining knowledge preferred

- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.

- Office equipment used: personal computer, printer, copier, Microsoft Office Suite, other software as required.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- Basic hand tools

- Physical demands of the job include: stooping, crouching, walking, pulling, light lifting up to 25 pounds, grasping, hearing, visual acuity, kneeling, reaching, pushing, talking, standing, fingering, and climbing.

- Inside environmental conditions: in an air-conditioned manufacturing environment.
