Role Description The FT or PT Psychotherapist will provide direct clinical services, including intake assessments, individual therapy, couples or relationship counseling, and family sessions, based on client needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing treatment plans, maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, coordinating care with other healthcare and support providers as appropriate, and monitoring client progress. The role also involves using evidence-based therapeutic approaches, participating in case consultations, and adhering to professional and ethical standards of practice. This is a hybrid role based in White Marsh, MD, with a combination of in-person sessions at the center and work-from-home flexibility for telehealth appointments and documentation.
Qualifications
- Strong grounding in Psychology and Mental Health, with the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to clinical practice.
- Demonstrated skills in Counseling and Relationship Counseling, including experience supporting diverse individuals, couples, and families.
- Understanding of Medicine as it relates to mental health, including psychopharmacology basics and coordination with medical providers when appropriate.
- Master’s or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related mental health field.
- Active, unrestricted clinical license (e.g., LCPC, LGPC, LMSW-C, LCSW-C, LMFT, Psychologist) in the state of Maryland, or eligibility to obtain one.
- Experience providing psychotherapy in outpatient or similar settings, including telehealth services.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries.
