About The Role
Nightwing is seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to join our team supporting a critical U.S. Government customer. The primary focus of this role is to develop and implement automation solutions that facilitate machine learning technology integration. The successful candidate will work on agentic workflow development, automated analysis workflows, and automation of data processes to enhance operational efficiency and scalability. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy automation tools that address manual workflow pain points and enable the scaling of innovative technological capabilities. The AI/ML Engineer will play a vital role in supporting incident response activities, malware analysis, and data pipeline automation, contributing directly to the security and resilience of our customer’s operations.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must possess U.S. citizenship and hold an active Secret clearance, with TS/SCI clearance preferred. The ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry on Duty (EOD) Suitability is required. Candidates should have a minimum of five years of experience in automation engineering, data engineering, or software development, with a strong background in designing data ingestion pipelines on AWS. Proficiency in AI/LLM configuration, tuning, and integration is essential, along with experience in machine learning pipelines. Strong programming skills in Python, including data manipulation libraries, are necessary. Familiarity with Amazon Bedrock, automation frameworks, orchestration tools, APIs, database systems, version control (Git), and CI/CD practices is required. The candidate should demonstrate excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into effective automated solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop automated data pipelines to support machine learning technology integration initiatives.
- Create automation workflows for malware sample collection, detonation, and taxonomy classification.
- Implement AI/LLM integrations with cloud services such as Databricks and Amazon Bedrock.
- Automate data integration processes between pilot and production systems to ensure seamless data flow.
- Support the development and enhancement of Automated Malware Analysis (AMA) platforms.
- Develop scripts and tools to automate repetitive technical tasks, increasing operational efficiency.
- Create automation for data transformation, normalization, and feature engineering.
- Develop monitoring and alerting automation to ensure system health and performance.
- Implement API integrations to facilitate data sharing and workflow automation across systems.
- Document automation solutions thoroughly and maintain code repositories for version control.
- Support scaling automation solutions from pilot environments to full production deployment.
- Optimize automation performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve efficiency continually.
- Collaborate with analysts and other stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and implement solutions.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security are maintained throughout automation processes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of automated capabilities and workflows.
