We are currently hiring for a Contracts Administrator On behalf of a client in Orlando, FL!

Job Description

This Contracts Administrator role is an onsite position in Orlando, FL, responsible for full life cycle (cradle-to-grave) contracts administration in a government and defense industry environment. The role focuses on managing contracts from initial proposal through award, execution, modifications, and closeout, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, company policies, and contractual obligations. You will serve as a subject matter expert on government contracting, support proposal and negotiation activities, and provide guidance to internal teams to mitigate risk and protect the organization’s contractual rights and interests.

Responsibilities

- Perform full life cycle (cradle-to-grave) contracts administration activities in support of the business unit, from proposal through award, execution, modifications, and closeout.

- Ensure department processes and procedures are followed for complete contract life cycle management, including maintaining complete and accurate contract files.

- Review and negotiate contract modifications, ensuring terms and conditions are aligned with company policies, legal requirements, and business objectives.

- Develop and maintain a contract requirements flow-down matrix to ensure all contractual obligations are communicated and implemented across internal stakeholders and subcontractors as applicable.

- Monitor and ensure contract compliance with all applicable regulations, contract terms, and internal policies.

- Support the preparation and submittal of RFQ and RFP proposal responses to Government entities and Department of Defense prime contractors.

- Administer and negotiate contractual award transactions, including new awards, options, extensions, and modifications.

- Maintain the contracts database and other internal systems as required to track contract status, deliverables, and key milestones.

- Participate as an active member of program teams, collaborating closely with Operations, Finance, Pricing, Business Development, and other functional groups.

- Conduct contract negotiations and manage customer contact activities in accordance with contract requirements, company policies, and legal requirements.

- Advise management on contractual rights, obligations, risks, and opportunities, and recommend appropriate courses of action.

- Monitor the timely submission of data deliverables and other contractual submissions, coordinating with internal stakeholders to meet all deadlines.

- Support proposal certification processes and ensure solicitation compliance requirements are met in accordance with federal procurement regulations.

- Identify, assess, and help mitigate contractual and business risks in concert with program teams as required.

- Provide guidance to internal functional groups on contract administration, solicitation compliance, and application of federal procurement regulations.

- Apply sound business judgment in a high-paced, demanding business environment to resolve contract-related issues to the satisfaction of internal and external customers.

- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication, responsiveness, and professional interaction.

- Serve as a self-starter and subject matter expert in government and defense contracts, capable of hitting the ground running with minimal supervision.

Essential Skills

- 7–10 years of experience in contracts administration, preferably with cradle-to-grave responsibility in government and defense contracts.

- Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).

- Strong knowledge of Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) requirements as they relate to contracting.

- Working knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

- Experience supporting RFQ and RFP proposal development and submissions to Government and Department of Defense prime contractors.

- Demonstrated experience in reviewing, negotiating, and administering government and defense industry contracts and modifications.

- Functional understanding of legal and financial principles as they relate to various contract types in the government and defense sectors.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as a subject matter expert in contracts administration.

- Possess strong oral and written communication skills for internal and external interactions.

- Reasonable business acumen and the ability to apply sound judgment in complex contractual situations.

- Bachelor’s degree.

- Eligibility to work at this location as a U.S. person, in compliance with applicable regulations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, FL.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $55.29/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
