Role Overview:
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking an LLM Java Developer to work on a full-time basis. The role focuses on improving large language model capabilities in Java software engineering, architecture, and coding tasks. You will design challenging programming problems, create synthetic code datasets, validate repository-level bug fixes, and evaluate model performance on enterprise Java ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop complex Java programming challenges, unit tests, and multi-file project scenarios for training and evaluating LLMs.
• Conduct repository-level validation, issue reproduction, and patch generation across enterprise Java frameworks (Spring Boot, Hibernate, Quarkus).
• Provide granular technical annotations and error analysis on model-generated Java code, ensuring adherence to design patterns and modern Java best practices.
• Build automated testing harnesses and reproducible build environments using Maven, Gradle, and Docker.
• Collaborate with AI research scientists to refine code intelligence models and AI coding assistants.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• 3+ years of professional backend software development experience in Java (Java 11/17/21).
• Deep understanding of object-oriented design, concurrency, enterprise frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Framework), and JVM internals.
• Proficiency with build tools (Maven, Gradle), unit testing (JUnit, Mockito), and version control (Git).
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with LLM-assisted development, prompt engineering, or code evaluation is a strong plus.
