Role Overview

The organization is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategic Events & Experiences to oversee major in-person gatherings from concept to execution. This role manages flagship customer summits, executive gatherings, company retreats, and team offsites, translating broad objectives into detailed, memorable experiences.

Operating with significant autonomy, this position is responsible for venue selection, programming, budgeting, vendor negotiations, production, and end-to-end event logistics.

This is a full-time, 100% remote position based within the United States.

Key Responsibilities

- Own major organizational events end to end, leading initial strategy, planning, execution, and post-event wrap-up.

- Produce flagship customer and executive gatherings, company retreats, and team offsites, designing high-touch experiences for groups ranging from intimate leadership sessions to events with more than 200 attendees.

- Develop comprehensive event plans covering venues, programming, hospitality, travel, production, staffing, logistics, budgets, and overall attendee experience.

- Identify, source, and build relationships with venues, hotels, restaurants, speakers, and production partners, negotiating contracts and terms to maximize value and quality.

- Act as the central project owner across internal teams and external vendors, managing schedules, budgets, and deliverables independently.

- Anticipate logistical challenges and operational risks in advance, resolving issues quickly and calmly under pressure.

Qualifications

- 7+ years of experience leading complex, high-touch events from start to finish, such as corporate events, executive gatherings, customer conferences, retreats, weddings, or comparable live productions.

- Demonstrated track record of independently managing complex, multi-day events with numerous dependencies, concurrent logistics, and external partners.

- Proven experience in vendor sourcing and contract negotiation, with an ability to optimize budgets and terms.

- Exceptional hospitality instincts, high operational standards, and strong attention to detail across every touchpoint of an event experience.

- Strong resourcefulness and composure when resolving unexpected issues in high-stakes environments.

Compensation & Benefits

- The typical base pay range for this role across the United States is $100,000 to $170,000 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

- For candidates based in Colorado, the salary range is $110,000 to $140,000 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

- Actual base compensation may vary depending on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

- Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; retirement benefits with an employer contribution; equity; paid time off; and home office support.
