The role
This company is rethinking statutory audit, building an operating system that tests every transaction rather than sampling. They're tackling a deeply regulated domain with a deterministic data layer and an agent system, backed by leading investors with significant pre-seed funding. It's a small, senior team solving a problem most consider impossible.
You'll be a Founding Engineer, owning the agent layer of this audit OS from day one. This means taking ambiguous problems, defining the solution, and building the system that plans, executes, and checks audit work. This is not a role with a defined roadmap or pre-assigned tickets; it's for someone who thrives on deep ownership and shaping a product from first principles.
The work
- Design and build the agent layer that plans, executes, and checks statutory audit work, processing every transaction.
- Develop the systems for continuous improvement of audit evidence and agent performance.
- Decompose complex, ambiguous audit processes into actionable engineering problems.
- Collaborate directly with auditors and subject-matter experts to understand and automate regulatory standards.
- Contribute to the overall product roadmap and technical architecture as a founding member of the engineering team.
What You Bring
- You have a track record of shipping systems you personally owned end-to-end.
- You've built and measured LLM systems, forming strong opinions beyond just prompting.
- You can decompose complex, ambiguous processes and iterate on them with subject-matter experts.
- Experience in a regulated domain like fintech or accounting.
- Willingness to work office-first in Oslo, typically four days a week.
