About the Opportunity
The Corporate Meetings & Events Manager leads internal meeting and event execution for the organization. This full-time role, based in the United States, establishes how the organization plans, sources, and executes internal programs at scale, providing direct visibility to senior leadership across the organization.
Reporting to the Director of Field Marketing, this position sits within the Field Marketing team. The manager owns a portfolio of high-impact internal programs, draws on the infrastructure and event expertise of an established team, and collaborates on the external event portfolio during lower-volume periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end execution of complex corporate meetings and internal events, managing all phases from venue sourcing through onsite execution.
- Negotiate hotel and venue contracts, including room blocks, attrition, cancellation terms, food and beverage minimums, audiovisual requirements, concessions, and service charges.
- Manage program financials, including budgeting, forecasting, invoice review, and financial reconciliation.
- Manage multiple concurrent programs across competing timelines, budgets, and stakeholder groups.
- Build preferred supplier networks and establish master service agreements.
- Advise and influence senior stakeholders, providing clear guidance and pushing back when scope or risk warrants it.
- Travel and provide onsite event execution and support.
- Note: This role does not manage attendee engagement strategy, human resources programming, internal communications content, event objectives or business outcomes, or ad hoc reservation and logistics requests that lack strategic scale.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in corporate meetings, internal events, or conference planning.
- Demonstrated end-to-end experience managing complex meetings and events from sourcing through onsite execution.
- Deep expertise negotiating hotel and venue contracts, including room blocks, attrition, cancellation, food and beverage minimums, audiovisual services, concessions, and service charges.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, invoice review, and reconciliation.
- Proven experience managing multiple concurrent programs across competing timelines, stakeholders, and budgets.
- Experience building preferred supplier networks or master service agreements.
- Exceptional project management skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and push back when scope or risk warrants it.
- Calm and solutions-oriented approach under pressure, with the willingness to travel and support events onsite.
